No cookies, no tracking, and one small setting explained.

The short version
This website does not use cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and it loads nothing from other websites: the fonts, images and code all come from the website itself. There is one small thing to explain: on phones, a single setting is kept in your browser’s local storage so that the footer menu stays as you left it.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. They are often used to recognise returning visitors, to measure traffic or to show advertising. Local storage is a similar feature of the browser that lets a page keep a small amount of information on your device. Unlike cookies, anything in local storage stays on your device and is not sent to the website’s server with each request.

Why there is no cookie banner
Under the rules that apply in Norway, set out in the Electronic Communications Act, and in the rest of the European Economic Area, a website generally needs your consent before it stores or reads information on your device. There is an exception for storage that is strictly necessary to provide something you have explicitly asked for.
The footer setting only records a choice you have just made on the page, and it is used only to show the footer as you left it. It holds no personal data, is never transmitted and is not used for any other purpose. We therefore consider it to fall within that exception, and there is nothing else on the website that would call for a consent banner. If that ever changes, for example if we decided to measure visits, we would ask for your consent first and update this policy before doing so.
What this website does not do

- It uses no analytics services, advertising pixels or social media plugins.
- It embeds no content from other websites, such as maps or videos.
- It serves its fonts from its own server rather than from a font service.
- It does not attempt to identify or fingerprint your device.
Ordinary browser caching
Like any web page, the website’s fonts, stylesheet and images may be kept in your browser’s cache so that later visits load faster. This is standard browser behaviour, controlled by your browser rather than by us. The cache holds copies of files that are the same for every visitor; it contains no information about you and is not used to recognise you.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because the website does no tracking, there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. The website behaves the same whether or not your browser sends one.
Server logs
Like almost every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested. These are not cookies and are not stored on your device. They are described in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
How to clear or block local storage
You can remove the footer setting at any time by clearing this website’s data in your browser’s settings, usually under privacy or site data. You can also browse in a private window, in which case the setting is deleted when you close it. The website works fully without it: the footer sections will simply start closed on each page.
Other websites
If you follow a link from this website to another one, such as Hjelpelinjen or Datatilsynet, that website’s own cookie and privacy policies apply. We have no control over the cookies other websites may set.
